We share our knowledge and experience with educators and educational institutions, contributing to the improvement of the quality of their practice, through professional development programs.

Advocacy and advocacy

We mobilize multisectoral groups to diagnose and prioritize strategies in favor of early childhood.

Our history

The Carulla Foundation was created in 1961 with the purpose of supporting education programs for the vulnerable population in the country. For 47 years we have provided scholarships to thousands of low-income employees of the Carulla company. In 2008, we decided to focus on promoting early childhood education in Colombia, through our initiative aeioTU

2008

A new Board of Directors decided to shift our focus to quality early childhood education. We created the aeioTU brand and made the first investments in infrastructure and professional equipment.

2010

In 2 years we managed to serve 1,598 children. The impact evaluation began with Rutgers University and the University of the Andes, through a Longitudinal Study in two centers in Santa Marta.

2011

We arrived in Mexico! as service providers through an international consultancy for new educational centers in the country. The national operation was increased to 11 centers and 2,680 children

2012

We designed the first prototype of an aeioTU Center. The First Things First Alliance, of which we are part of, was launched to expand the coverage of quality early childhood education throughout the country.
